Party time! The Harley Psalter, folio 24v. By permission of the British Library: © The British Library Board, Harley MS 603. The Anglo-Saxon Monk and his alter ego, Dr Chris Monk, have not been keeping at their best in the last few months so have decided to take some time out from blogging and writing.
They hope to be back in the medieval swing of things next February. They both wish you much joy over the holiday season. The Anglo-Saxon Monk also desires you all to manifest appropriate Christian self-control during your festivities, but has serious doubts you will pay any attention to his wishes. A blessed Christmas and joyous New Year!

Christmas is one of the things that we do really enjoy. Personally, Christmas season is the best! I love spending all of my time with my loved ones during this season. I would like to go in some fancy dinner with my sisters and check the city lights. Christmas makes me feel at peace and gives me the warmth feeling of being free from all the things that hinder me from being happy. I must say that December is the most awaited month for me. I love it even more than my own birth month. And let us not forget, of course, the reason of this season which is the Lord Jesus Christ.
